Surely you remember the infamous definition of eternity: Two people and a ham. Same goes for a turkey.

So this Thanksgiving, if you’re cooking for two or four, consider a simple but elegant alternative from Francesca’s at the Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio (16641 La Cantera Parkway). Roasted lamb loin stands in for the big bird while colorful stone-ground grits—spiked with roasted corn kernels and serrano chile—make a great substitute for cornbread dressing.
