Picture yourself on a boat on a river, chilling out in the middle of August with the prettiest, pinkest dessert you’ll ever see: watermelon gazpacho eddying around assorted fresh berries and a cool scoop of passion fruit sorbet. Don’t worry if you can’t find a perfectly ripe melon; chef Bruce McMillian of Anthony’s (4007 Westheimer) in Houston boosts the flavor of this dessert soup with lemon juice, a judicious spoon or two of sugar, and a shot of Midori liqueur. Crisp candied-ginger cookies complete the treat.
