A GREAT WEEKEND IN DALLAS

'TIS THE SEASON Don your gay apparel and fa-la-la-la-la your way to Dallas December 4-7 for a long weekend sure to make you jolly. On Thursday evening the Dallas Mavericks (yes, good things come in big packages too) take on the superstar-studded Los Angeles Lakers at the American Airlines Center. Spend the first part of Friday at the Pan American Art Gallery for the opening of "Icons, Myths and Prophets," a look at religious and mythological symbolism in art. Cut loose that evening when the beguiling Kelly Willis and her husband, Bruce Robison, put on a holiday concert at the Sons of Hermann Hall, which may even be decked out with boughs of holly. On Saturday morning head downtown to catch the Neiman Marcus Adolphus Children's Parade, then spend the rest of the day at the inaugural Dallas Music Festival, where you can hear more than four hundred acts on twenty stages. On Sunday, sing along with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, which will be playing a slew of holiday favorites, including an ancient Yuletide carol or two. Everybody: Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la. (See Dallas.)
