COMEDY

LAUGH TRACK Why is it that Lucille Ball is still hilarious and Andrew Dice Clay isn't? We're willing to take a big leap and say it has something to do with personal style, delivery, and content. This month you can see for yourself (if you're lucky enough to score a ticket) how three wonderfully talented comedians, who have kept us laughing for years, and a rock-solid humorist work their magic. On April 2 and 3, Jerry Seinfeld, the star of the famed sitcom about nothing and the master of his domain and yada yada yada, will be performing at the Music Hall at Fair Park, in Dallas. Miami Herald columnist and presidential candidate Dave Barry will be speaking (on exploding toilets? art? children's birthday parties?) at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts, in Dallas, on April 14. You might want to take notes: You never know when you'll need a clever argument on why the world runs so smoothly or why petanque is the perfect sport. And Harvey Korman and Tim Conway—dearly beloved for their comic rivalry in a number of popular skits on The Carol Burnett Show (who could forget "The Dentist"?)—will try to keep straight faces when they perform at the Bass Performance Hall, in Fort Worth, on April 28 and at the Grand 1894 Opera House, in Galveston, on April 30. Now that's comedy. (See Dallas: Other Events; Fort Worth: Other Events; and Galveston: Other Events.)
