It’s no wonder this cultivar, rediscovered in a Brenham cemetery, was a Lone Star favorite a century ago. It honors the daughter of England’s Queen Victoria, who married into the family of Prince Friedrich Wilhelm of Prussia, for whom Fredericksburg is named.
