Guidelines for Artists & Photographers

Please feel free to submit your photography or illustration portfolio to us. All of our art for the magazine is chosen after reviewing portfolios. If you are sending us your portfolio via an overnight service please send it to:

We cannot cover the return postage/or delivery charges so be sure to include a return airbill account number so we can get your work safely back.

We review portfolios only during the first 2 weeks of our magazine schedule. Usually that occurs during the 2nd and 3rd week of the month, but you should call to confirm dates. If you are wondering what work to send we suggest looking through the past year of Texas Monthly to get an idea of the type of photography and illustration we use. We can review any format—transparencies, or prints.
