Get over criminalizing conduct among consenting adults. Stop wasting money on morality prosecutions for drug use, sex work, and polygamy and start taxing and regulating the conduct instead. Stop capital prosecutions, which are far more expensive than life without parole. Demilitarize the border, de-incarcerate nonviolent criminals, and reallocate criminal justice monies to fund the criminally underfunded Texas public school system. Get real about teens and sex: Provide accurate, comprehensive sex education to students and make condoms available in public schools. Pay it forward for Texas by prioritizing education over punishment, prosecution, and incarceration.
