It turns out that the Mayan Apocalypse is not the only one the world has to worry about this weekend. Warren Jeffs, the imprisoned polygamist leader of the FLDS, has prophesied that the world will end this Sunday.

From his prison cell in Palestine, 56-year-old Jeffs has instructed his followers to prepare a backpack full of end-time essentials.

“Warren was talking about the Yellowstone Nation Park blowing,” former FLDS member Isaac Wyler told Ladd Egan, a reporter with KUTV, Salt Lake City’s CBS affiliate.

“Now repent, repent all people of all lands on world, to survive my cleansing authority, soon to be poured out without measure eternal power unto world becoming terrestrial more holy condition. Amen,” Jeffs warned in his most recent revelation, dated November 12. December 23 is Joseph Smith’s birthday.

Jeffs is serving a life sentence for sexually assaulting two underage girls. Most of his followers have left the Yearning for Zion Ranch outside of Eldorado, as Katy Vine reported on TMDP. And Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott made a move to seize the ranch last month.

Of course, Jeffs has frequently predicted that the world will be ending soon, making him a perhaps less credible source on the precise moment of the apocalypse than the Mayans. So, what happens if Jeffs is wrong about the date? “Wyler said Jeffs will still be right and blame his followers for not having enough faith for it to happen,” according to Egan.
