– Texas BBQ in North Carolina? Yep. Jim Price prefers Texas brisket to Carolina whole hog, so his research included a stop in Lockhart, Texas before he opened JJ Texas BBQ in Havelock, NC.

– Jerry Hall, former supermodel and ex-wife of Mick Jagger, was born in Gonzales, Texas. In an interview with Paper City she said she returns to Gonzales and eats barbecue at the Gonzales Food Store. “The meat store in the square has the most delicious sausages you can imagine”
