For nearly a decade San Angelo native and current Keller resident Andy Sedino worked for Rudy’s BBQ. When he left in 2012 he was a managing partner and the Director of Operations for the North Texas franchises of the popular chain. Now he’s looking to bring his own brand of barbecue to the area.

Meat U Anywhere BBQ has been a catering operation for the last year or so, but a permanent restaurant location is under construction in downtown Grapevine, just a few blocks from current Texas Monthly Top 50 joint, Bartley’s BBQ. They’ll serve barbecue all day long starting with breakfast tacos early in the morning, and a line-up of usual suspects for lunch and dinner including sausage made at the Thorndale Meat Market. Weekend specials will include beef short ribs and pork chops.

Sedino left Rudy’s because they were “going in a different direction” than he wanted to go in barbecue. He’s also straying from Rudy’s cooking method too. Instead of gas-fired barbecue smokers he’ll be burning hickory and oak in a pair of wood-only J&R Manufacturing Oyler smokers.

Look for the restaurant to open by the end of this month.
