This morning I came across an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer about a budget impasse in New Jersey. After shutting down state services, Governor Jon Corzine had called legislators to a summit at “Drumthwacket,” which is the name of the state’s governor’s mansion.

Could this be a portent of Texas’s future? If so, we need an appropriate name for our governor’s mansion. Herewith, I call upon readers for suggestions. And forget about “Dumbthwacket.” Too obvious.
