Just up the street from another great breakfast place (Magnolia Pancake Haus), this is our go-to when we don’t want to wait for a table. Whether you want a full breakfast or brunch or just pastries and coffee, this gleaming industrial place hits all the right notes. Big portions and bountiful options—including egg dishes and breakfast tacos (and lunch fare such as burgers and shrimp and grits)—are complemented by beer, wine, and specialty cocktails like mojitos, margaritas ,and more—and good coffee too. As the name suggests, biscuits are the order of the day, and there are even two biscuit flights, one savory and one sweet. Our plate (really a platter) of scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, and a stack of pancakes embellished with house-made raspberry jam and lemon butter sauce was the picture of abundance. But the crispy potato hash may have been the best thing on it.
