Geoffrey Leavenworth

Geoffrey Leavenworth is a writer based in Austin. He is the author of four books, including the architecture volume Historic Galveston and the novel Isle of Misfortune. He has written hundreds of articles appearing in the New York Times, Time, Discover, and many other publications. He covered the space program as a freelance contributor to Time for seven years and has written extensively on business, higher education, food, and travel. He also worked as a speechwriter for four university presidents and served as chief communications officer at the University of Texas at Austin. His most recent book, Brand Under Fire, written with principal author Jeff Hunt, is on crisis management in the digital era.
