(From October 2010) We’ve lunched with the lovelies at this cafe-nursery hideaway, but on our last visit we found its porch and gardens even more alluring in the evening, and table service added unexpected luxury (count on counter service earlier in the day). We lingered first over wine and a perfect warm-weather “French picnic†of artisan bread, whipped goat cheese, basil pesto, and olives. But just as we thought things couldn’t get any better, a generous entrée of sautéed halibut, roasted tomatoes, and mushrooms on couscous proved us wrong. Beer & wine.
