(From December 2009) The Ochoa family has been perfecting their chicken recipes since 1975, when they first unleashed their famous Pollo Loco on unsuspecting diners. A few years and a few franchises later, their Palenque Grill carries on the tradition, offering northern Mexican dishes in a family-friendly setting. We started with a cup of fideo soup (cooked vermicelli in a spicy tomato sauce), then moved on to grilled shrimp tacos, which arrived individually wrapped in foil packets like little gifts and accompanied by a small plate of lime, chopped onion, and cilantro.
