(From February 2011) This bakery is renowned for its Black Forest cake, not to mention its cookies and wide array of pastries. Those who plan ahead can work in a breakfast or lunch in the adjoining (rather under-decorated) dining room to coincide with their bakery pick-up. Our Reuben sandwiches (with two sides and a pickle spear) were more than adequate in size (heaven only knows how big the extra-large Reuben is). But the potato salad, alas, was heavy on the mustard and raw onion, the sauerkraut lacked the tang of authentic Bavarian style, and the bland corned beef was definitely for American tastes.
