$$-$$$

Italian

(From March 2012)

Cordial service and arias from Italian operas make a meal here an elegant affair. A generous bowl of pasta fagioli, the traditional pasta and bean soup, paired agreeably with the (off the menu) mezzaluna salad of chopped mushrooms, celery, and artichoke hearts topped with slivers of Parmesan. An insalata mista crowned with grilled chicken left room for fresh bread dipped in garlic-spiked olive oil. Bar.

Pizza /
Italian

(From April 2011) At under $12, the bountiful lunch buffet is a near-steal, but evening offers the chance to sample fresh-cooked Italian favorites like fried calamari and lasagne, both benefiting from a mild pomo-doro sauce. A standout is the Spaghetti Ellen: chicken, artichoke hearts, and olives tossed in garlic and olive oil. Bar.
