(From May 2012) If there’s a better marinara in Dallas, we’d like to know where. The one that napped our side of spaghetti was squisito by itself, and its plate mate of crunchy-crusted chicken Parmesan was a wonder. Our companion’s Louisiana crab cake salad, a hint of fire in its sriracha-zapped sauce, was perfect for lighter appetites; coupled with microgreens flecked with tomato, avocado, and papaya, it was a joyous explosion of color and taste. As might be expected, tiramisu is perfectly executed. BYOB.

(From October 2011) A nautical theme, plenty of organic choices, and a pleasant outdoor patio make this a favorite destination. As we prefer a Neapolitan-style crust on our pizzas (pies here, though mighty good, are of the thicker variety), we chose the grilled sea bass with a side of steamed spinach, cipollini, and a squeeze of lemon—utterly light and yet perfectly filling for a warm summer evening. Bar.

(From May 2012) The room may be small, but it's large in its impact on italian cuisine in this city. And given that the chef if Francesco Farris, formerly with Arcodoro/Pomodoro, naturally the style is Sardinian. Two classics, pasta carbonara gently napped with egg and Parmigiano, and an unusual apple, walnut, and porcini mushroom risotto, left us admiring the chef's deft touch. Don't pass up indulging in a plate of focaccia with herbs and sea salt for the table. Torta di limone, a lemon sponge cake with a grappa infusion, was subtle in every respect, just the right finale for this evening of substantial dining. Bar.
