Vodka Martini, Up

Blame it on Bond, but the martini is experiencing a renaissance. This one, served at Brennan's of Houston, is as smooth as 007 himself. Anchovy-stuffed olives will make a splash.

3 ounces Absolut vodka
1 ounce Cinzano dry vermouth
Cracked ice
2 anchovy-stuffed olives

Fill cocktail shaker glass with ice. Pour in vermouth, stir, then strain out vermouth and discard, leaving ice in shaker. Add vodka to shaker, stir, and strain into chilled 6-ounce martini glass. Garnish with olives. Serves 1.
