Motionhouse - Scattered: A Meteor Shower of Unlikely Moments

Friday, February 22, 2013 - 8 p.m.
Ticket prices: 35-70
Motionhouse is one of the UK’s foremost dance theater companies, touring highly acclaimed and award-winning productions to theaters and festivals throughout the world. Rooted in dance, Motionhouse’s dynamic productions draw on theater, circus, acrobatics and film and are acclaimed for striking use of imagery, theatricality and immediate impact. The Company will perform Scattered, which combines Motionhouse’s highly physical dance theater and mesmerizing aerial imagery, to create a unique interaction between film and live performance. Performed on a giant curved floor like a snowboard half-pipe, Scattered explores our relationship with water in an ingenious collaboration with Logela Multimedia from the Basque region of Spain. The mix of magical film and daring dancing creates an extraordinary world in which the dancers move seamlessly in, on and through images of cascading waterfalls, rainstorms, arctic wastes and desert landscapes.
