Immigration Legislation

When the Legislature meets in January, several lawmakers have said they want to pass an Arizona-type immigration bill. Would that be good for Texas?

It’s about Illegal, not Ethnicity.

It’s about the future of America. There are those who have their own agenda and do not understand or care about the things that have made our Country great.

I was saddened to see that the UT student Jose Torres was given a free education at UT and is still an illegal immigrant. I am part hispanic, its not a race issue. Its sad that some of us, that are US citizens had to pay for our education and others do not. My question is to UT? How did this happen? How was his education paid for? How did UT accept payment from the govt (I assume this is where the payment came from) when there is no legal citizen status? Shame on you UT if thats the case.

We are a country of immigrants and as such should continue to welcome you people into our country. We gave amnesty in the 80’s to several million illegal immigrants and with no comprehensive immigration reform. We must not allow the current illegal immigrants to remain here with impunity. Please let me know the results of 10 million Americans crossing into Mexico illegally. It is time to stop this flaunting of our laws by illegal immigrants...not undocumented workers......
