Karen Katz, president and CEO of the Neiman Marcus Group, recently visited the members of The Legacy at Willow Bend to share stories about the history of Neiman Marcus, her career and success working her way up to her position as CEO, and the current and future goals of the company.
“Neiman Marcus put Dallas on the map,” said Katz. “It was founded with the idea of providing quality, ready-to-wear clothing for the affluent. Customer service is what Neiman’s is all about. For me, I love hearing the complaints more than I love hearing the compliments. We always want to be growing and changing with the needs of our customers.”
Katz’ mother, Helen Wunsch, moved to The Legacy at Willow Bend a year and a half ago. She has gotten to know many of her mother’s closest friends at the community.
“One of my goals as CEO is to make sure that our product is multigenerational and appeals to women of all different ages,” Katz continues. “I owe my success to my family and the incredible support team I have around me.”
