The Legacy at Preston Hollow Enjoys Community Hanukkah Celebration

Residents and guests of The Legacy at Preston Hollow, a family service-oriented community, recently celebrated Hanukkah together with music, food, decorations, and a ceremonial lighting of the menorah.

“Our residents always enjoy celebrating Hanukkah together,” said Jerry McDonald, executive director of The Legacy at Preston Hollow. “We are a multi-faith community, but are Jewish-sponsored, with many of our residents being of the Jewish faith. This celebration is very special to our residents, and everyone had a great time.”

Guests were greeted at The Legacy with champagne and musical entertainment by Charles Schlage. The Hanukkah and Shabbat Celebration began shortly after with a Sabbath service led by Bruce Feldman and a performance by the men’s choir, Anshai Torah Kol Rina. At the conclusion of the traditional services, everyone lit the menorah together. Festive cocktails along with potato latkes and smoked salmon were served, with the evening ending in Hanukkah melodies.
