Mirador, Corpus Christi’s first and only all-inclusive life care senior living community, has named Barry Bennett as executive chef. The announcement was made by Cindy Waldron, executive director of Mirador.

“The residents and staff are excited to welcome Chef Bennett,” said Waldron.  “Mirador takes pride in the upscale cuisine we offer our residents, and Chef Bennett will continue to offer exciting and enticing entrees on a daily basis.”

Chef Bennett has been in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years.  In addition to serving as executive chef for multiple hotels and resorts throughout the country, he has also catered events for a wide range of celebrities, including Alan Jackson, Cher, Richard Petty, Michelle Kwan and Jack Nicklaus.  He was the personal chef for Burt Reynolds and was featured on 125 episodes of the Martha Stewart Show for the segment “Chef Barry’s Gourmet Recipe of the Day.”  Chef Bennett has also catered events for past World Series and Super Bowl games, feeding more than 30,000 people, and was also the executive chef for former President George H.W. Bush’s inaugural dinner.
