What are UR favorite dips or "Best Dips " Cheeseballs- for the holidays? Don’t forget to look back into comments sections on any post - Sometimes there are more recipes posted.

Green Goddess Dip Serves 12
 
8 ozs. cream cheese cut into slices
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. sour cream
2 T. onion finely chopped
2 T. parsley finely chopped
2 T. chives chopped
salt to taste


Using a microwave-safe container- microwave cream cheese n milk  2 to 4 minutes- whisking after each minute- until cream cheese melts n mixture is smooth.
 
Stir in sour cream- onion- parsley - chives -salt to taste. Refrigerate until cold.

Creamed Parsley or Basil Chive Dip

8 ozs. cream cheese, sliced

1/2 c. milk

1/4 c. sour cream

2 T. onion finely chopped

2 T. parsley or basil finely chopped

2 T. chives finely sliced

In a microwave-safe container, microwave cream cheese n milk

2 to 4 minutes- whisking after each minute- until cream cheese

melts and mixture is smooth. Stir in sour cream- onion- parsley and

chives. Refrigerate until cold.

Notes ~ add some drained clams to this or shredded chicken

Crab Dip with Philly Whipped Cream Cheese

Makes about 2 ¼ c.

2 green onions, thinly sliced, divided

1) 8 oz. cream cheese Whipped style

1) 6 oz. lump crabmeat drained

1/2 c. Sharp Cheddar Cheese or cheese of choice

1/2 c. red sweet peppers finely chopped

1 T. Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard

Serve with some suggestions below**

Remove 2 tablespoons of onions- set aside.

Mix remaining onions with all remaining ingredients except what U will spread dip on. Chill 1 hour.

Sprinkle with reserved onions.

Serve with crackers -corn chips -potato chips -fresh raw veggies

Notes~ Make it hotter by adding jalapeño’s dice –seeded very fine.

Add little milk to make it go further or half ñ half.

Dip

1 b. sausage loose

1) 10 oz. can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers Rotel will do

2) 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese softened

Large skillet- cook sausage over a medium heat until it is browned ñ cooked through.

Mix tomatoes ñ cream cheese into skillet. Stir ñ continue cooking

mixture over medium heat until cheese has melted.

Note~ can add black olives or green olives chopped- use roasted chiles or add serrano or jalapeño’s diced fine with seeds removed. Can replace tomatoes with green chile with salsa.

Refried Bean Dip Hj’s

1 can refried pinto beans

1/2 c. half ñ half or milk

add little red crushed flakes

Touch of Better Than Chicken bouillon – go easy it’s salty

garlic granular to taste

1/2 c. sour cream

1 c. shredded cheese

Place beans in a bowl- mash with *half ñ half ñ seasonings -mix well - microwave heat 1-2 minutes-remove from micro- add sour cream - heat 1 minute more stir mixture well. Return to microwave ñ heat till mix is hot. Add more half ñ half to desired thickness if needed

Stir 1/2 cheese into mix- sprinkle remaining cheese onto top of mix ñ heat until cheese on to is melting.

Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes~ Add some cooked crumbled bacon-or green chilies for zip or very little salsa. This goes quickly. Do not burn or scorch the beans!!

Beefy Bean Cheese Dip

1 lb. ground beef

1 onion medium chopped

2) 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese

1) 15½ oz. can black beans rinsed drained

1) 4½ oz . can chopped green chilies or more

1 c. sour cream

2 tsps. ground cumin

1 tsp. chili powder

1/4 tsp. salt or to taste

1) 8 oz. pkgs. Monterey Jack cheese shredded

1) 8 oz. pkg. sharp cheddar cheese shredded divided use

Preheat oven 350° F.

Brown beef - onions together until meat is cooked. Add cream cheese - cook until melted –add beans- green chili- cumin powder ñ chili powder with salt to taste. Remove from heat-add Monterey Jack cheese - half the cheddar. Mix -pour in a baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar. Cook until bubbly- about 30 minutes.

Note~ Asadero cheese or queso cheese is good also. Make it hotter by using jalapeño’s or habañero’s

Chipotle Ranch Dip In 5 Minutes

1½ c. Ranch Dressing

2 chipotle chiles in adobo sauce from 7 oz. can drained

Assorted fresh vegetables or fried foods

Use blender -place dressing with chiles. Cover -blend until smooth.

Serve dip immediately or cover n chill up to 1 week.

Honey Lime Dip

6 oz container plain or low-fat yogurt or sour cream

1 T. mayo

1/2 T. honey

1/2 lime

1/4 tsp. cumin

1/8 tsp. oregano

1 tsp. chives or parsley

1/2 tsp. granulated onion

3/4 tsp. kosher salt

Mix honey ñ sour cream or yogurt until combined ñ give it a big squeeze from the lime half. Add in spices –herb ñ mix . Walla.

Horseradish Cheese Dip Really Tasty

Mix together

1) 6 oz. bottle prepared horseradish (regular or hot

1) 12 oz. container cheddar cheese (used Wispride sharp cheddar or port wine

Great with crackers- veggies or just about anything! Cubes of cheese-ham or smoked ham- chicken -meat - this is tasty.

Pesto Cream Dip

1) 7 ozs. container prepared Pesto with basil

4 ozs. cream cheese softened

1/2 c. sour cream

2 T. Procino cheese grate

Place pesto- cream cheese- sour cream ñ cheesen in food processor or blender- cover. Process until creamy ñ chill until ready to serve.

About 1 2/3 cups

Note~add little fresh lemon juice if needed ñ a sprinkle of red crushed pepper. Mix well
