Shrimp Ramekins Meal or Appetizer

3/4 lb. day old bread crusts removed
2 garlic cloves minced or more to UR taste
1 c. butter softened
1 T. Riesling wine
30 shrimp cooked large
1 T. dry sherry
1/2 tsp. paprika

Lemon wedges*

Using food processer add bread to make  fresh breadcrumbs.

Mix breadcrumbs- garlic- butter ñ wine in a bowl- knead like bread dough until smooth. Roll into a 3” diameter log- wrap. Chill 1 hour  or until hardened.

Preheat oven 450 ° F.

Divide shrimp among 6 ovenproof ramekins or huge type shells  sprinkle with sherry. Top with ¼” slices of bread log. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 4 minutes.

Lightly separate bread crumbs with a fork to cover shrimp more evenly. Sprinkle with more paprika- if you like. Bake until bubbling - golden brown- about 4 minutes.

Notes~ add little mozzarella or romano cheese grated to the top before baking  sprinkle with chives for garnish ñ lemon wedges to the side.
