Crackers ñ Bacon Hors d’oeuvres

posted in appetizers [more from this topic] by Hj on Sunday, May 27th 2012 at 5:15 PM.

Saltine crackers

bacon

Wrap half a slice of raw (yes-RAW!)  bacon around a saltine cracker. Microwave
until the bacon is done ñ crisp.

That’s it!  The cracker absorbs the
drippings ñ becomes bacon flavored.

Made a platter full- I never have any left-overs

I’ve made these several times, but never in a microwave - what a time saver, HJ! I use whole wheat Keebler’s, with a tsp of grated parm on the cracker before wrapping with 1/3 strip of bacon, then sprinkle with cajun seasoning to give ’em a little kick. Thanks for the microwave tip, and yes, there are never any leftovers! Happy cooking, y’all!
