AMAZON SAUCE

posted in general [more from this topic] anonymously on Monday, July 23rd 2012 at 11:31 AM.

Unfortunately both amazon suace recipes posted are wrong. I asked and they told me also. However I forgot the liquid ingredient but i know it isnt vinegar. I made it for a July 4th bash and it was a sensation. When I find the recipe I will post it. In the mean time it is:

Cilantro

Cotija

Jalapeno

Garlic

& Whatever the wet ingredient was?

Finely grate the cheese (package of grated). Simply prepare (wash-finely chop) and blend the ingredients for a tasty sauce the pairs well with chicken, beef, and pork. Its great with chips to. Its just good!!

Amazon Sauce Recipe from Gringo’s 1 cup Water 8 oz. chopped Cilantro 2 1/2 oz. Jalapeno 1 3/4 oz. fresh Garlic 1/3 cup White Vinegar 1/2 cup Cotija Cheese 1/3 tsp. Salt to taste Mix all ingredients in a blender or food processor until completely blended. Then add: 5 1/3 cups of Mayonnaise and mix well. August 1st email from Gringo’s it stated there may be some trial and error to get it the way you like it, and if you like Garlic go heavy on it.

Opps ~I see U say U don’t think it was vinegar but I use regular vinegar or cider vinegar or some use chicken broth. Never tried lime juice maybe u could use that.
