1 1/4 cup white sugar

1 1/4 cup flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 cup soft margerine/i perfer butter

1 egg

1 cup broken pecans

2 egg whites

1 cup dark brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla

mix togather 1st 6 like a pie crust

spread into a 9x13 pan

press broken pcs pecan into top of the crust

whip egg whites till dry

fold in brown sugar, till smooth

add vanilla beat till smooth

spread on top of crust/pecan layer

bake about 40 min at 375 degrees

do not over cook it will spoil the flavor

cut into 48 pcs while still warm

my grandmothers love lives in this recipe!!!

B or frodo, my old friend ...great to see u posting agin and keep them coming. Have had back surgery 2 1/2 months ago .at 69 was rough ,just to have 12 titanium screws put in the near future. Now, I know how babies feel learning to walk. Lol. Have not my sense of humor. Sami and I and more her posting these days. She has such great posts. We both want more to post.
