TEXAS MONTHLY offers opportunities for dynamic and senior sales professionals. Minimum of 5 years related sales experience is required, preferably with media experience. Responsibilities include: Prospect and develop new business, service clients and secure long-term relationships, achieve revenue goals set by Sales Manager, and maintain client database. Skills/Abilities: Must have strong persuasive communication skills, ability to develop and deliver sales presentations and negotiate contracts based on the needs of the client. Must have proven track record of excellence in sales process and revenue gains. Very strong organizational and time management skills. Must also possess ability to exercise independent judgment and solve problems. Additional skills required include: Strategizing, Marketing, Networking, and Researching. The position requires an energetic, self-motivated sales executive with knowledge of the Texas market, a strong work ethic and a winning attitude. Some travel is required. TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST - Austin, TX
TEXAS MONTHLY has an immediate opening for a technology support specialist. This is a frontline help desk position at a dynamic media organization where knowledge of both PCs and Macs is essential. Must be a responsive, customer-service-oriented self-starter who accomplishes tasks with precision and detail. Position will require providing a community of users prompt and courteous support. Platforms and applications include Windows 2003 server, Windows XP, OS X, Outlook/Entourage, Microsoft Office, Adobe CS3 suite. Must have Exchange and Active Directory experience within a corporate-wide network infrastructure. Includes phone system support.
