Texas got blindsided by this group - they came in lying about their intentions, and the stories honestly are so bizarre as to almost not be believed.
But the horrors are true, and not only that, they have bought more ranch land, out near New Braunfels.
On top of that, there are dictations by the prophet that they all leave Shortcreek as "It is rejected of God, and all who remain there"...
This is documented by Warren. Though he is now in prison, and the group mostly dont even KNOW this dictation, so they havent yet ramped up a mass exodus - but if Texas were to open her arms, look out!
Of course if Canada were to roll over and accept polygamy they will stampede up there, one presumes.
In the meantime, Texas’ best defense is a good Dozen prosecutions, send them the message your state isnt the place for whacks to molest little girls behind fake church walls.

I don’t understand why this is not an important issue to texans. When older men transport under age girls to texas for the purpose of marriage, and breeding, it should concern every texan..
we as texans should not stand by and allow this to happen under the premise of "religion". Its illegal and yet it was being done right here in Texas by this group.
Having more than one wife regardless, is illegal in this state. Having a wife 12yrs old is assault.
Why are texans more involved with this case. Its disappointing to me, who has been a lifetime texan.

I guess when you are stuck up sewer creek without a paddle, you try and buy a "Skyhook"...
But in seeing what he has been impotent in doing for them, looks like he is mired in the FLDS mother lode.
Prediction: The FLDS defense wont look good on his performance resume.
But it will pay his bills. Wont do anything for all the FLDS tax bills, but he and his kids will be driving Mercedes Benzes.

I can’t wait to see how the fact that he left his 16 year old wife in hard labor for 3 days to avoid getting himself in trouble is going to play for a Texas jury.
