Bud Shrake is one of Texas’ greats. Great sportswriter. Great novelist. Great storyteller. Shrake co-authored Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book, which stands as the bestselling sports book of all time, and has also written novels, biographies, screenplays and plays. He’s kept company with some of America’s most-respected authors, some of the state’s most interesting characters, and has stories to share about all of them.
