Dr. Elsa A. Murano, President, Texas A&M University (Thursday, April 10th 2008)

Dr. Elsa Murano, the new President of Texas A&M University, has enjoyed a long career as a food safety expert, traveling through the academic world and holding a top position at the USDA.  But her personal path to A&M is more unlikely.  Murano was born in Cuba, leaving at age two when Castro took power and eventually settling with her family in Miami.  Learn how she plans to mix innovation with tradition.
