David Dewhurst, Lieutenant Governor of Texas (Thursday, January 15th 2009)

Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst joins us to preview the 81st regular session of the Texas legislature. Lawmakers have already filed bills about some of the hottest issues facing the state, including immigration, property taxes, school vouchers, abortion and college tuition. We’ll talk with the Lieutenant Governor about what’s ahead as well as the state’s biggest political news: rumblings about the race for Texas governor in 2010 and the U.S. Senate when Kay Bailey Hutchison leaves her seat.
