For more than forty years, photographer Mary Ellen Mark has traveled extensively, documenting cultures from around the world and across the United States for The New Yorker, Life, The New York Times Magazine, Texas Monthly, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair and many books. Her work has introduced audiences to runaway children in Seattle, brothels in Bombay, small-town Texas rodeos, an Oregon mental institution, a homeless family in Los Angeles, circuses in India and a collection of twins of all ages.
