Douglas Brinkley, Historian and Author (Thursday, May 14th 2009)

Douglas Brinkley was described as “the best of the new generation of American historians” by Stephen Ambrose. His work stretches across a wide span of times and topics, from biographies of Jack Kerouac and Rosa Parks to an analysis of Hurricane Katrina and a shelf full of political histories. Brinkley’s latest book, The Wilderness Warrior: Theodore Roosevelt and the Crusade for America, will be published in June.
