New in Fred
Fredericksburg is a great town to shop and the newest boutique to open is Enid. Lara Collins Bobo and her husband Tim recently opened the lifestyle store and named it as a nod to Lara’s grandmother, the handbag designer Enid Collins—you know the bags. Some were wood box frame bags, some leather carryalls, but they all had little brass bejeweled animals and flowers on them. The spot is filled with beautiful home décor like pillows, clocks, and picture frames, but you’ll also find stationery, handbags, and jewelry and hand printed tees by Lara and metal and wood tables designed by Tim.
Tom Makes Scents
Gorgeous Austin-native Tom Ford debuts his newest fragrances this month. The White Musk Collection is four bottles—White Suede, Pure Musk, Jasmine Musk, and Urban Musk—of musk-based scents that can be combined to create the ultimate personalized perfume. Available at Neiman Marcus.
Kiehl’s Rare Earth
Humidity and extreme heat can do a number on your skin. We all know that greasy 5 o’clock feeling of your makeup sliding off your skin. Ugh. I’ve been testing Kiehl’s Rare Earth Pore Minimizing Collection and I must admit that after a few rounds with the Deep Pore Cleansing Masque made with Amazonian white clay my skin feels a bit more refined. Kiehls in Houston and Dallas.
Date to Remember
