Hemingway’s Bar & Grill
This Rockport mainstay is recovering from a total management and kitchen turnover. And it still has a ways to go. Our appetizers were as fine as could be wished, the crab cakes crispier and crabbier than before and roasted brussels sprouts that could easily redeem the reputation of the much-maligned veggie. The entrées, unfortunately, were not quite right: great-tasting fresh drum was overcooked, while lamb chops in a lemony reduction arrived undercooked. With a new general manager from San Antonio, the congenial spot is diligently trying to rebuild its longstanding reputation. (1/13)
