Arriving just after a rain shower, we grabbed the first dried-off table on the patio and immediately ordered some grilled tuna bruschetta with arugula and red pepper pesto. Pan-roasted oysters topped with creamy spinach and peppers were spot-on as an entrée, but a hash of shredded lamb shoulder, fingerling potatoes, and piquillo peppers suffered from a heavy hand with the salt. Good service and reasonable prices—and that splendid patio—make Backstreet a big draw for a casual but classy meal. Bar.
