Foo dogs stand guard at this pagoda-roofed restaurant, where overheard Chinese conversations testify to its authenticity and a diverse crowd to its reputation. The cordial staffers are helpful in navigating the daunting menu, which features both familiar items (sesame chicken) and more-exotic delicacies (sautéed frog). We enjoyed crispy-skinned roasted quail, its meat tender and moist, and luscious lobster sautéed with ginger and green onions. “Wish we’d ordered that,” we thought more than once as sumptuous dishes passed by.
