Can we recommend a restaurant and warn you off it at the same time? Blake’s is so small (26 seats) that 10 extra customers would be a mob. That said, we must report on a fine lunchtime panino topped with a superbly cooked filet of salmon, feta, and a fried egg. Bonus: teeny housemade chips. Almost as good: a (slightly dry) split breast of chicken with basil-walnut pistou and a wilted spinach salad. The chilled soups (gazpacho, strawberry-mango-balsamic) are amazing. Sometimes customers from adjoining Bella salon slip into the airy, pin-neat place for a quick bite, wearing smocks with foil in their hair, looking like characters from Sex and the City. (9/12)
