Those looking for a Texas-size meal following a Texas-size afternoon of shopping the Domain should head straight to Jasper’s, which is known for its hearty Southern-inspired cuisine. Old standbys like the pecan-crusted rainbow trout with roasted brussels sprouts and the peach-barbecue pork tenderloin with bourbon-spiked creamed corn were beautifully executed, but the new menu items we found lacking. Our barbecue flatbread with caramelized scallions and cheddar cheese was ho-hum, and the pomegranate-molasses rotisserie chicken arrived dry and relatively flavorless. Ditto for its accompanying spaghetti squash griddle cake (a little salt goes a long way). (10/13)
