The weekend vibe at this arty, scene-y downtown spot has an infectious energy, as does its creative Mexican-inspired menu. A light and refreshing ceviche of amberjack, ginger-chile water, and cilantro set the pace for a decadent evening of sautéed swordfish with a piquant salsa verde and sweet plantains and a hefty plate of guava-glazed pork ribs with pickled onions and queso fresco. Food & Wine magazine–acclaimed pastry chef Laura Sawicki had sweet treats in store with strawberry-rhubarb cobbler and a sinful chocolate and dulce de leche tart with a sprinkle of sea salt.
