Down House draws an eclectic crowd for its funky atmosphere and good farm-to-table food. A brunch-time steal at $10 is the breakfast taco plate, with your choice of two nearly burrito-size tacos; the spicy braised pork, runny with fried egg and spiked with pickled onion and cilantro, slightly edged out the roasted red pepper with cherry tomato, scrambled egg, and goat cheese. A hefty hand-shaped burger patty was a greasy wonder topped with melted cheddar and served with skin-on fries. The small kitchen does get overwhelmed; sampling a cocktail from the interesting list should ease any impatience. Bar.
