Throw away all preconceived notions of crab cakes; the ones here are unique: crispy, panko-crusted triangles of crab, minced chicken, and Thai herbs just begging to be swished in honey plum sauce. Traditional pad thai was a quite-filling dish of chicken and shrimp (more of the former than the latter), crushed peanuts, green onion, bean sprouts, and noo- dles. Airy cheesecake was graced with lovely chunks of fresh mango and purée—but why on earth did they put a bottled maraschino cherry on top?
