JT’s Cafe & Bar
Initially, JT’s reminded us of someone who woke up late for work and threw on clothes in a hurry: ho-hum tables and chairs, a hodgepodge of photos on the walls, and then, oddly, a full bar, stocked with elegant stemware. Turns out, the decor commemorates the owners’ human rights work, and one percent of the restaurant’s profits go to Operation Hope, which brings medical and emergency services to third-world countries. There’s nothing like chowing down on a house burger with jalapeños, avocado, and Gouda (or our favorite, the burger with blue cheese, pineapple, and a cucumber dressing) while helping to make the world a better place.
