Sometimes nothing will do but a classic steak dinner. And this elegant spot will serve you up a crisp house salad with tangy vinaigrette, a ribeye cooked to perfection, and a fluffy baked potato. But we went down another path. Shrimp in a slow-burn rémoulade was a fine prelude to a 16-ounce veal chop sided by roasted wild mushrooms. For dessert we chose a five-inch-high slice of New York–style cheesecake festooned with a sour cream sauce, fresh strawberries, and a small piece of white chocolate brittle. (6/13)
