Pondicheri, Indika’s little sister, offers a more casual setting for earthy Indian street food modernized for American tastes, like a lamb burger boasting a dollop of white cheese and vibrant mint on a cumin-caraway bun and grilled black drum with turmeric rice and cooling raita. The chocolate malt–flavored ice cream sandwich is good but unremarkable compared with Anita Jaisinghani’s cookie collection. (3/13)
