Hardly romantic, this sunny, unembellished corner cafe is nevertheless comfortable (and there are racks of extraordinary culinary items for sale). We relished every bite of hand-cut pasta topped by shrimp scampi (which could have used more garlic). Also on our agenda was a bowl of steaming tomato-basil soup and a side of blistered shishito peppers. A bar of lemon semifreddo embellished with blueberries made a perfect dessert. (2/13)
