Happily for those of us who fondly remember going to “the Egyptian” in decades past, the pizza is as good as it ever was. Our lovingly fashioned All the Way pizza came piled high with salami, mushrooms, green peppers, and green onions. Easily enough for two, maybe three, was the appetizer of artichoke hearts baked with a decadent garlic butter sauce and fresh bread crumbs. A thick slice of New York–style cheesecake is the only way to end a feast like this. This site is a bit more upscale than the original, funky Mockingbird location.
